OneSelf Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Page address: humanitybots.com/oneself/health-data
Effective date: 9 October 2026. Last updated: 9 October 2026.
This page is provided under the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada Senate Bill 370, and applies to everyone who uses OneSelf. It is part of, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy (humanitybots.com/oneself/privacy). Where the two differ, this page governs for consumer health data.
What consumer health data OneSelf collects
OneSelf is a caregiving app, so most of what you record is health-related. We collect:
- About you: your daily mood check-ins; what you tell Cleo about how you are coping; your onboarding answers about your caregiving situation; the automated summaries of your Cleo conversations.
- About the person you care for: the label you give them; their journey stage as you describe it; Behavior log notes and other notes; documents you add to the Vault (medical, insurance, legal and similar) and the summaries Cleo produces from them; tasks and appointments in your schedule; anything you tell Cleo about their condition, medications or care.
- Technical information connected to the above: timestamps, and the device and account the information came from.
Where it comes from
Only from you: what you type, record, photograph or upload, and what you say to Cleo. We do not obtain health information from any other source, and we have no connections with health care providers, pharmacies, insurers or health devices. If we add one, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
Why we collect it
Only to provide the OneSelf features you use: to show you your own notes, check-ins and documents; to let Cleo respond to you with your situation in mind; to summarise your documents; to organise your schedule and journey; and to show crisis resources if your words suggest you may be in danger. We do not use consumer health data for advertising, for profiling you for any other purpose, or to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We share consumer health data only with service providers acting on our instructions under contracts that forbid any other use:
- Supabase, Inc., hosting on Amazon Web Services (US East, Northern Virginia): stores all of it.
- Google LLC, Gemini API: receives your messages to Cleo, conversation context and the documents you add, to generate responses and summaries. Google may not use this content to train its models.
Community posts and comments you choose to publish are shared with other OneSelf members, by your choice, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not share consumer health data with any affiliate; HumanityBots has none. We do not sell consumer health data, and we will never sell it without your separate written authorisation, which we will not ask for. We do not use geofencing.
Your rights
You may at any time:
- Confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you and get a copy, including the list of the service providers above.
- Withdraw your consent to our collection or sharing of it. Because OneSelf cannot function without it, withdrawing consent means deleting your account.
- Delete it. You can delete individual notes and documents in the app. To delete everything, including your mood check-ins, delete your whole account from the Me tab or at humanitybots.com/oneself/delete-account. You can also email hello@humanitybots.com and ask us to delete any specific information. Uninstalling the app does not delete your data. When you delete, we also instruct our service providers to delete it, and it is gone from backups within 30 days.
To exercise a right, use the app or email hello@humanitybots.com. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying, and a different person will review it within 45 days. If you are still unsatisfied you may contact the Washington or Nevada Attorney General.
